You need to remove the front rotor to get access, but from there it's just as easy. The ABS controller could have just stopped working. at the worst the wheel and brakes can come off causing lots of damage, not to mention maybe causing a wreck or three.at 65 mph the bad . An illuminated battery light means that the charging system is faulty ! ABS Module Failure. after rebuilding the module, the issue went away on the transmission as did the abs/dsc issues. The sensors are there to monitor wheel speed and send the info to the ABS. If it isn't working properly the ABS light will come on and your vehicle's anti-lock braking system will not function properly. However, if this is the case, both the ABS and traction control lights will be on. Only at low speeds does this happen. Feb 28, 2015. I have been having problems with my brakes sticking on slightly. Absolutely YES! The failing bearing allows the hub to move around, effectively pushing the brake pads back into the caliper as far as it can. The front sensor senses from the internal rotor or half shaft. There are other problems that will also cause this light to illuminate including a faulty ABS pump, worn out brake pads, low brake fluid levels, issues with brake pressure, or air trapped in the brake lines. The anti-lock brake system (ABS) is a safety feature put in by the manufacturer. After the last muddy day out, I sprayed out the wheels, brakes, rotors along with the rest of the undercarriage, like I always do. There is a possibility that all of these systems will cause the check engine light to come on. As a result, the ABS console can control how much braking force is applied on the wheels to avoid . DSC_0653
