Abstract: We study the large-scale anisotropy of the Universe by measuring the dipole in the angular distribution of a flux-limited, all-sky sample of 1.3 million quasars . For a long time (for reasons that we will elaborate on), the cosmological constant was thought to be exactly zero in our universe. | Find, read and cite all the research you . the Cosmological Principle states, there is rather "a peculiar distribution of matter centered upon our location," then the universe would be centered on a low-density, matter-dominated void . The cosmological principle is usually stated formally as 'Viewed on a sufficiently large scale, the properties of the universe are the same for all observers.'. Actually, it is a very general principle, and it is best expressed by saying that, in the case of any positive truth, there is some sufficient reason for it, something that, in this sense, makes it true—in short, that there still when? This amounts to the strongly philosophical statement that the part of the universe which we can see is a fair sample, and that the same physical laws apply throughout. Every observer at a given cosmological time will see the same thing, such as the same Hubble-Lemaître law.
