Parasites can be found both outside and inside an organism’s body. We normally think of pathogens in hostile terms—as invaders that attack our bodies. (coccidia) are microscopic one-celled organisms that cause coccidiosis. Viruses are not plants, animals, or bacteria, but they are the quintessential parasites of the living kingdoms. Typically, no intermediate host is required for the parasite to reproduce Examples Different kinds of pathogens cause different kinds of diseases. The following medications for the treatment of scabies are available only by prescription. Viruses. Products used to kill scabies mites are called scabicides.
